This page is about the structure of the Build program. It's not a forum. If you think a 'quick lecture' should be designed, then design it or bring it up on the maillist- you can't depend on people seeing a call for work here. The rest of the paragraph is meant to designate knowledge that's a prerequisite for starting Build. It doesn't need to be part of Build necessarily, but it's already in those classes as mentioned, one of which is already set up and the other one will be once I get to it.

Changed "New Volunteer Orientation" (which should have been a link) back to "Pre-Build". That section is about prerequisites for Build. New volunteers should ''already be oriented'' by the time they get to Build. Build is for people who want to learn hard-core, not for everyone. Let's not forget the Adoption program exists.

This page is in an incoherent state. If you're going to re-do pages, please try to leave them in a state that's readable and not polluted with editorial comments like "EVERYTHING BELOW HERE IS A MESS". If you've made changes that leave the page messed-up in this way, but you don't have time to finish, then use the history to roll things back to the old state. You can re-instate them later, when you have time.

Removed the following:

"Note, rather than whole classes for this, should design a quick lecture that can be given in 1 hour tops, and fits on a 1-page cheat-sheet. Just a basic rundown of safety (takes 10 minutes), and then basic PC hardware components and concepts (it's not that hard). Should also give some orientation with OSes/Linux."

It doesn't need to be part of Build necessarily, but it's already in those classes as mentioned, one of which is already set up and the other one will be once I get to it.
