If you think a 'quick lecture' should be designed, then design it or bring it up on the maillist- you can't depend on people seeing a call for work here. Changed "New Volunteer Orientation" (which should have been a link) back to "Pre-Build". That section is about prerequisites for Build. New volunteers should ''already be oriented'' by the time they get to Build. Build is for people who want to learn hard-core, not for everyone. Let's not forget the Adoption program exists. | |||

If you're going to re-do pages, please try to leave them in a state that's readable and not polluted with editorial comments like "EVERYTHING BELOW HERE IS A MESS". If you've made changes that leave the page messed-up in this way, but you don't have time to finish, then use the history to roll things back to the old state. Just a basic rundown of safety (takes 10 minutes), and then basic PC hardware components and concepts (it's not that hard). Should also give some orientation with OSes/Linux."
This page is about the structure of the Build program. It's not a forum. The rest of the paragraph is meant to designate knowledge that's a prerequisite for starting Build.
